Privacy notice
Effective 1 October 2026
Who is responsible for your information
Resource Together administers the October Laptop Thank-You Giveaway pilot and is responsible for the personal information collected through this site.
What we collect
- Your first, optional middle, and last name as shown on a legal identity document.
- Your Ghana mobile number, region, and optional email address.
- Your confirmation that you are at least 18 and accept the rules and this notice.
- Your optional preference about future mission updates and future GH₵5 fundraising campaigns.
- A one-way technical fingerprint of the network address used to submit the form, used only to flag possible duplicate or automated entries. We do not display this publicly.
What we do not collect at entry
We do not collect a Ghana Card number, birth certificate number, photograph of an identity document, MoMo PIN, one-time code, account balance, payment information, or donation through this October pilot. If anyone asks you for a PIN or OTP while claiming to represent Resource Together, stop communicating with that person.
How we use the information
We use it to record one entry per person, contact the selected participant, review possible duplicates, conduct and document the random draw, and measure interest in future Resource Together campaigns. If you separately opt in to updates, we may also use your contact information for occasional mission communications.
Winner verification
Only a selected participant will be asked to present an accepted government identity document privately. The document is reviewed to confirm legal name, age, and eligibility. We will not keep a scan or photograph for this pilot.
Sharing and security
Entry details are stored in an access-controlled database. The administrator area requires ChatGPT sign-in and a separate approved-email allowlist. Names, mobile numbers, and emails are excluded from downloadable reports so personal contact information remains inside the protected system. We do not sell entrant information or provide it to advertisers, donors, or other entrants. Public updates use totals, confirmation codes, and masked details—not full names, full mobile numbers, or email addresses.
Automatic deletion after every drawing
When the official draw runs, the system immediately and permanently deletes the personal records of everyone except the selected participant and, when available, up to two documented reserves. These few temporary records are needed only in case the selected participant cannot be reached or does not qualify.
After the gift is verified and handed over, an authorized administrator closes the drawing cycle and the system deletes the remaining personal entry records, including names, mobile numbers, emails, regions, and anti-abuse details. Finalist records expire seven days after the draw. Cleanup checks run when the site is visited and through a separate hourly scheduled task starting 2 November; deletion occurs on the next successful check after expiry. The task reports failures to the administrator.
Only a non-identifying proof of the drawing remains: entry confirmation codes, totals, cryptographic hashes, the random seed, and masked winner details. An optional updates choice on the entry form does not create a permanent mailing list; it is deleted with the entry record.
Protect yourself from impersonators
Use only this official pilot website and contact details published on the Resource Together main website. Resource Together will never ask you to reveal a MoMo PIN or OTP, approve a payment prompt, transfer money to claim a prize, or pay a winner-verification fee. Ghana’s Cyber Security Authority provides additional guidance on business impersonation and mobile-money fraud.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete your information, or withdraw an optional updates consent, using the Resource Together contact form. Removing your required entry information before the drawing also removes your entry.
