Official rules
Effective 1 October 2026 · Schedule updated 14 September 2026
1. Organizer
The October Laptop Thank-You Giveaway pilot is organized by Resource Together, an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) public charity, EIN 99-3987450.
2. Eligibility
The pilot is open to legal residents of Ghana who are at least 18 years old when they enter. Resource Together staff, directors, and members of their immediate households may not enter.
3. Entry period
Entries open at 12:00 a.m. GMT on 1 October 2026 and close at 11:59 p.m. GMT on 25 October 2026. This updated deadline replaces 31 October so entries can be reviewed before the live drawing on Monday, 26 October. Resource Together’s server clock controls the entry period.
4. How to enter
Submit the online form with your legal name, Ghana mobile number, region, and required confirmations. Email is optional. Limit one entry per person and one entry per mobile number. Automated, incomplete, false, or duplicate entries may be excluded.
5. Gift
One eligible participant will be selected to receive a 2017 Apple MacBook Air with 8 GB RAM and 256 GB storage, as confirmed by Resource Together. Condition and collection arrangements will be confirmed before the drawing. Product photography is representative of the model, not the exact unit being given away. The gift cannot be transferred or exchanged for cash unless Resource Together decides a substitution is necessary.
The November Dell laptop, Yoni drones and AI smart glasses are a preview of planned future gifts, not part of the October drawing. November quantities, models, entry dates and rules will be announced separately. An October entry does not enter any future drawing.
6. Selection process
After the entry period closes, possible duplicates and flagged entries will be reviewed consistently. The eligible list will then be locked and one entry selected using the verifiable random process described on the transparency page. The October drawing is scheduled to be conducted live on Monday, 26 October 2026 at 7 p.m. Ghana time (GMT). The administrator runs the official selection; it does not run automatically when the countdown reaches zero. If unresolved reviews or a technical failure delay the draw, Resource Together will announce the change here.
The monthly live schedule is the last Monday of every month at 7 p.m. Ghana time. November’s scheduled show is Monday, 30 November 2026. The official broadcast link will be posted on the pilot homepage before the event. Only masked participant information or entry codes may appear on the public broadcast; private administration screens must not be shared.
7. Notification and verification
Resource Together will call the selected participant using the mobile number on their entry. No automatic email or SMS is sent. The selected participant has up to 72 hours from the first recorded call attempt to respond and must privately present an accepted government-issued identity document showing the same legal name and confirming eligibility. No copy will be retained. If the participant declines, is ineligible, or cannot be reached within that time, we contact reserves in the order selected. Contact and handover must be completed before finalist details expire seven days after the drawing; each reserve’s response window ends at that deadline if it comes sooner.
8. Publicity and privacy
Resource Together will not publish a full legal name, mobile number, or email without separate permission. A masked name and entry confirmation code may be published to demonstrate the result. Most personal records are deleted when the draw runs. Finalist records expire seven days after the drawing and are deleted at the next successful cleanup check, or earlier when the administrator closes the cycle after handover. See the privacy notice for cleanup timing.
9. Mobile-money safety
This pilot requires no payment. Resource Together will never ask for a MoMo PIN, OTP, account balance, transaction approval, entry fee, winner fee, or payment to collect the laptop. A message or call requesting any of these should be treated as fraudulent and reported through verified channels.
10. Fair administration
Resource Together may pause, adjust, or cancel the pilot if fraud, technical failure, law, or circumstances beyond reasonable control prevent fair administration. Any material change will be dated and published on this site. Decisions about eligibility and administration will be made consistently and documented.
11. Questions
Questions or concerns may be submitted through the Resource Together contact form.
